Motivation gantries are supplied with four bolt-on swivel casters with ball bearing swivel brackets and semi-steel wheels with roller bearing axles. Wheel brakes are standard. Only single casters are used, allowing easier swiveling. Caster capacity is sufficient to support the rated capacity directly over one pair of casters.
Four position swivel locks are available for all gantries to facilitate straight line travel. Polyurethane, phenolic, V-groove or flanged wheels are available for many sizes and capacities. V-groove wheels can run on concrete floor as well as on inverted angle track.

PAINT

Motivation gantry cranes receive a final coat of rust inhibiting Motivation medium blue gloss machine enamel.

ADJUSTABILITY

Adjustable gantries are height adjustable in 6" increments. Safety chain on spreader prevents over-extension when adjusting gantry width.

CANTILEVER CONFIGURATION

For a cantilever lift, the gantry can be supplied with the optional beam clamps to allow the beam adjustable extension beyond the legs, or the gantry can be ordered with standard welded brackets, providing a specified cantilever extension.

CANTILEVER SAFETY

The normal safe limit of the cantilever extension is one third (113) of the beam length and one half (112) the rated capacity of the gantry. The opposite end of the gantry will require either a counterweight or a means of anchoring the gantry to the floor Both Motivation fixed and adjustable gantries are suitable for cantilever applications.

JACKING KIT

Optional Ratchet jacks can be used with adjustable height gantries to adjust the height without the need for any other overhead lifting device. A minimum of two are required, used alternately amongst the four legs.

¹ the width between the legs and between the leg braces at the lower flange ('J' dimension in charts) may not be sufficient to allow some trolleys and/or hoists to travel to the end of the beam. This dimension must be checked carefully if travel to the end of the beam is required. A different trolley or special wide leg and leg bracing to beam attachments may be necessary.
