GANTRY SELECTION - HOW TO ORDER

CAPACITY
Determine required capacity based on heaviest load to be lifted. Full allowance has been made for the weight of a normal electric hoist and trolley.

SPAN
Select span to accommodate load size and working area.

CLEAR SPAN
Ensure that span between braces is sufficient to accommodate load size and working area.

UNDER BEAM HEIGHT
Select height under beam to ensure sufficient clear height. Allow for height of load, hoist and trolley, any additional height required to accommodate slings, spreader beams, or any other lifting equipment, plus the required height of lift.

OVERALL HEIGHT
Check to ensure gantry will clear any overhead obstruction, passage or doorway. An adjustable rather than a fixed gantry or optional non-standard dimensions may be required.

ADJUSTABLE vs. FIXED HEIGHT GANTRY
Adjustable gantries are ideal for variable lifting height requirements, unequal floor heights, or where overhead clearances may be limited. Fixed height gantries are lower in cost lighter in weights and easier to assemble than adjustable height gantries. They are ideal for plate-based mounting, semi-permanent installations, and applications not requiring adjustable height and or leg width.

Intermediate capacities, heights, spans and widths are available at minimal additional cost. Because Motivation offers such a wide range of gantries, space only permits listing some of the most popular styles, sizes, and configurations.
