INTRODUCTION

PROVEN DESIGN
Motivation Industrial Equipment has been designing and manufacturing gantry cranes and lifting equipment continuously since 1968. Thousands of Checkerboom gantry cranes, pedestal cranes, floor cranes and jib cranes are in regular service, many at some of the largest manufacturers, utilities, government and military establishments in North America. All design, engineering and fabricating is done by Motivation in Motivation's own facilities.

SAFETY
Motivation's goal has always been to design and manufacture quality equipment to industrial standards. Motivation gantry cranes are designed to meet applicable sections of CSA S16-1969 standard and CMAA specification No. 74-1987. The maximum calculated deflection does not exceed (span/600) where the span is given in inches. Material for all gantry cranes shall conform to CSA G40.21-87 Structural Quality Steels, minimum grade 44W steel. All Motivation gantry cranes are welded in accordance with CSA W47.1-1983 and CWB W59-1989. Motivation is certified to CSA W47.1. CASTERS ARE DESIGNED TO TAKE THE FULL RATED CAPACITY OVER ONE A-FRAME. The included safety factor provides a margin of strength to allow for variations in the properties of materials and manufacturing and is not intended to provide authorization or protection for users to load the crane above the rated capacity. Standard equipment is designed for industrial use, not for lifting of human cargo.

STABILITY
For optimum stability of the gantry, the ratio of the height under the beam to the overall width of the base is 2:1. This ratio must be maintained when adjusting adjustable height gantries.

QUALITY AND PRICE
Although Motivation Gantry cranes are very competitively priced, quality has not been sacrificed. Competitive pricing and quality results from Motivations specialization in gantries, jib cranes, and related products, all in regular production, with facilities expressly geared to this production. Welders and fitters are second to none in experience and workmanship. All material is thoroughly checked before fabrication and all welds are closely inspected. Dimensions and weights shown are approximate. In the continued search for product improvement, Motivation reserves the right to change specifications without notice. General arrangement drawings showing critical dimensions are available upon request.

WARRANTY
Every Motivation crane is inspected before shipment and is guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materia1 for a period of twelve months from the date of shipment.
