For mechanical joining to other piping material, fittings, valves, tanks, pumps, etc. This is accomplished by using High Density Polyethylene stub ends and metal back-up rings.
The butt fusion joint is a highly efficient, economical method of joining Thermolene pipe. The principle is to heat the adjacent surfaces to a fusion temperature, make contact between the surfaces and by applying pressure allowing the surfaces to fuse together. On cooling , the original interfaces are gone and the two parts are one.
