Shackles

Stainless steel screw pin anchor shackle

WARNING

Improper use or care of shackles can result in bodily injury or property damage.

To avoid injury or damage, always observe the following when using alloy shackles:

Use only alloy chain and attachments for overhead lifting.
Do not exceed working load limit.
Do not shock or impact load.
Do not side load - center line of load must coincide with center line of shackle.
Do not replace pin with other than original equipment parts.
Inspect before use for wear, deformation and pin engagement.

Drop forge using 18/8 stainless steel material.
Meets or exceeds military specificaton MIL-F-17280C (Ships) Type 1 strength requirements.
Non-magnetic and corrosion resistant.
Permanently marked with raised characters for identification, "NM" or "SS" stainless steel.
Polished for improved appearance and to enhance coorosion and chemical resistance.
Proof load is 2 times working load limit. Ultimate load is 5 times working load limit.

Klik pin (zinc plated) as shown furnished as standard - cotter or hair pin can be furnished on special order.
Shackle body: carbon steel, heat treated.
Shackle pin: alloy steel, heat treated.
Tolerances: ±1/32" unless otherwise indicated.
Design ultimate strength equals 4 times the working load limit.
