To avoid injury or damage, always observe the following when using alloy shackles:

Use only alloy chain and attachments for overhead lifting.
Do not exceed working load limit.
Do not shock or impact load.
Do not side load - center line of load must coincide with center line of shackle.
Do not replace pin with other than original equipment parts.
Inspect before use for wear, deformation and pin engagement.

Alloy steel for greater strength and greater abrasion resistance.
Each shackle is marked "Alloy" or "A" to denote alloy steel.
All shackles are marked with size and working load limit in tons.
Ultimate strength equals 5 times the working load limit. Proof load equals 2.5 times the working load limit.
Shackles are forged and heat treated.
When ordering, specify galvanized (G), painted (P) or self colored (SC).
CM Big Orange high strength shackles rated 3 1/4 tons and larger (sizes 1/2" and larger) meet performance requirements of Federal Spec. RRC 271 D, Type IVA, Grade B, Class 2.

All shackles are marked with size and working load limit in tons.
Ultimate strength equals 5 times the working load limit.
Proof load equals 2.5 times the working load limit on sizes 1/2" through 1" and 2.2 times the working load limit on sizes 1 1/8" through 2".
Shackles are forged and heat treated.
When ordering, specify galvanized (G), painted (P) or self colored (SC). Self colored shackles will be shipped with galvanized bolts and nuts.
