AGO Safety Weld Strip Screens & Curtains
AGO TRANSPARENT GOLD SAFETY WELD STRIP AND SHEET VINYL SCREENS AND CURTAINS have almost unlimited industrial applications, such as:
| WELDING SCREENS | WELDING BOOTHS |
| MACHINE ENCLOSURES | GRINDING SHIELDS |
| DIVIDING PARTITIONS | HEAT RESISTANT BARRIERS |
| NOISE RESISTANCE BARRIERS & ENCLOSURES | |
SAFETY STRIP SCREEN FRAMES - Consist of a simple sectional welded angle iron design to afford easy assembly and provide a sturdy frame that stands on the floor, as is, or can be bolted to the floor through holes provided in the leg assemblies. A quality rust rust resistant paint provides the finish. The mounting bar allows either a 50% or 100% strip overlap, with the vinyl strip being secured by plated bolt fasteners that provide for easy strip replacement, when necessary.
SAFETY WELD STRIP SCREEN CURTAINS - The 8" x .080" transparent gold vinyl strips exceed OSHA specifications for screening or enclosing arc, oxyacetylene, metallic or TIG welding operations. It resists tearing, cracking, shattering, and burning as welding sparks fall right off, and because of the thickness, will not burn through. The gold tint provides a special formulation to the vinyl which absorbs dangerous ultra-violet radiation and protects co-workers from eye flash burns. Safety gold Weld Strip meets all the requirements of the California State Marshall for flame resistance.
Safety Weld Strip reduces the traffic restrictions of normal safety curtains. The overlapping strip configuration of either 50% or 100% provides an almost gap-free closure while yet allowing people and material to pass through at any point.
SAFETY WELD STRIP HANGING CURTAINS - The same strip used as the Screen curtain above is also used as a Hanging Curtain. All the safety features outlined above apply to the hanging curtain application. These installations are normally secured from floor or roof mounted support assemblies - as the job dictates. The gold strips are usually secured to 2" x 2" x 3/16" angle iron by plated bolt fasteners, allowing a 50% or 100 % strip overlap, as desired.
The thickness of Safety Weld Strip provides excellent sound attenuation, considerably reducing the noise associated with the welding operation. The highly transparent vinyl provides excellent safe viewing for supervisors observing the welder both while working and not working. Glare is minimal with no dangerous U.V. being transmitted through the curtain.
80 Mil Gold Vinyl Weld material is available in 8" strips and 46" sheets.
